The International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) is pleased to be working with the Cities for People initiative, helping cities in Manitoba embrace the needs of their populations and come up with ways to meet them. Cities for People is an initiative that aims to explore the question: How can we enhance social, ecological and economic well-being and help civic cultures thrive?
IISD is pleased to invite Brandon stakeholders to a 3-hour Cities for People roundtable. This event will bring together a range of local organizations to discuss initiatives that demonstrate innovation in community and urban development. The dialogue will focus on identifying and discussing issues and opportunities facing Brandon as a city and providing examples of innovation with a particular focus on the Cities for People Themes.
These roundtables are happening in cities in every province and territory across the country this spring, the feedback from which will be compiled to the National Level strategy and action plan. These events also help attendees find alignment and opportunities to work closely and more effectively together to help cities thrive.
